Did anybody ever get to the bottom of the Missing Marathing Ludlows? I only know of the ONE that sold on eBay.
Did anybody ever contact Topps? Can any of the artists here shed any light? I'd love to finish my October Ludlows

It also begs the question... are we sure it was real? You can easily create a ludlow back with these stickers and a sacrificial ludlow. Just sayin’. >:D. Just joking though, if I remember the seller had a 100% rating and it was a BIN or best offer auction. I think if someone was intentionally defrauding, the would have had it open for bidding knowing the scarcity. Although it’s still strange no one in the forum reporting getting one, did they?

Topps should cut a bunch of one-off replacements for this card, who wants a hole in their page!

I second the motion!

I heard a rumor that Topps only produced enough of these to give one to every honest politician :]
I looked at completed auctions before Christmas and not even the sellers selling near master sets had any Marathing ludlows in their lots. At the time I also remember a seller who sold his monthly extra singles in his " U PICK" auction had many multiples of all the other 4 weekly ludlows for sale when he first listed, yet no #9s
Either there are only a handful of these around or none were produced at all.

One of the U pick sellers on eBay told me he only got two or three but did get a few.I believe
he was purchasing 50 sets a week at that time.

Another seller who bought 40 sets told me he thought he had gotten just one.
There must be a few around? Bueller? Bueller?

By October I had given up and dropped down to 2 sets. I just saw the one that sold on ebay for around $10.

Can any of the artists chime in on this? Is there any way the artists could convince Topps to do a run of these cards for anyone that made a purchase that week? Sucks to have a hole in your set for no clear reason. Seems strange that this card was either short printed or not printed at all.

It seems to have been printed, but just a very few. Maybe someone spilled their coffee and ruined most copies :P

According to Greg Grant's website, he knows of only two that exist out there in the wild.

I think you actually mean that Greg only knows of two.

Yeah, you're right. I should've phrased it better; it's fixed.
