For just 1/4 of a million dollars
https://www.ebay.com/itm/174432081662
They're accepting best offers too. I think I'll see if I can get it for $200K.

Counter-offer $249,995.00. :-[

Didn’t Greg sell it for like $60K some time ago?
-
It was definitely over $50K. By his account, the buyer asked him for a quote and Greg gave him the "It's not for sale" price. Then when the buyer actually came up with the money, he had to follow through.

Would we get a "Free" frame with that?? LOL.. In today's market and COVID economy, if someone offered 25K, I'd take the money and run.... IMHO

"trsoo" was also the winner of the original Cap'n Crud art... someone here must know who this is...
and why are they putting it on the market...?

I found an older photo of the Gadzooka artwork online as a comparison to the new one from the eBay auction. Glad the new owner didn't try to touch up the imperfections and blemishes on the artwork. Just filled in the bare spots on the outer black border.

yes to this seller so it didn't change hands since then. The piece still looks like a truck ran over it but still iconic!
-
Even just a 5% sales tax on that would run you an extra $12,500. Of course if you can afford $250K, what's an extra $12.5K....

A price like that would call for an in-person exchange, even if a 20-hour drive from south FL to Philly. Don’t know that I would trust a shipper to deliver something like that without a “problem.”

Sales tax for me would be over $21,000. So, that's a painting that costs more than my house is probably worth, and sales tax that is more than I paid for my car >( >(

I have an uncut Gadzooka reissue puzzle that is about the same size and, if framed, would serve the same purpose. With no tax!

My recollection from long ago is this seller doesn't reply to ebay messages so I sent a message asking some questions about touch up on Gadzooka no reply yet. Anyone other than greg ever have any discussions with this person?
