How does this seller know that this pack has tan back tri-fold stickers in it? Anyone know? It is usually not hard to tell if the stickers are white or tan backed, but being able to tell if they are tri-fold would be a trick. Is the code known for these packs to assure that it is a tri-fold pack?

I think you're right, but can't say I've heard of that wrapper style referred to that way before.
obviously not 3 folds. guess referring to the 3 edges?

I never heard it used that way either. I assumed the “three folds” meant folding it the long way, and the two short way folds.
