Thanks, these are all commissioned by the same collector. Not ones I would have chosen but they were challenging and fum. I do have Wacky Fever!!.

John, yeah, when doing sketch cards there are sometimes a few limitations (like no cig or alcohol in ANS) but generally any Wacky character from past or present is in the mix.

I'm guessing on an official Topps set these wouldn't fly. These are all commissions for one collector. I think there is a ban on alcohol and tobacco now. I did do Tobacco and beer on the last GPK set I worked on and those made it into the packs.

How about a non-commissioned sketch set including a range of artists?
I wonder if Topps has scans of some of the past sketches, or are all of the sketch images lost to history, other than that poster they did, and what collectors and artists can provide.

Rob, that's a really good question. My son is into the digital Star Wars cards and I was thinking if Topps had scans of all the Wacky sketches it would make an amazing digital card set. Be fun to look through 1000's of Wacky sketches done over the last 10 years! Also be fun to be able to organize them by artist or character and see all the variations.

I think I have nearly all of my cards scanned as I'm sure most artists do. But I'm not sure Topps would have a record of them all since different Wacky projects were handled by different editors in different departments. Anyway, for what it's worth, I have a scan of the very first official Wacky Sketch card! I'll look for it later and post it here...

I'm fairly sure it was all work-for-hire, meaning Topps has always owned all the rights.

That's correct, at least in today's world. I'm certain Topps had the same policies in place back when Norm was doing his thing.

You are assuming the Operating System is Windows. If he has a Mac, this won't apply...
Also, ZIPping won't really help with pictures (not jpegs, anyway), as they're already in a compressed format.

Wow! Your memory is like a steel trap! Yes, I did do a Sucker Twin in OS4. In fact, I can FINALLY say, I've drawn every single title from the original series (including the die-cuts and ads) on official Topps sketch cards! Whew!!!
