Am I missing something here, why would psa label this card opc?
Is it worth sending back?
Just got it graded

It's a mechanical error. They will correct it for free, but you would have to pay to ship it to them. I can explain the process if you wish to do that.

Thanks for the response, I also have a 5th series Cover Ghoul that they labeled as a 1st series.

Guess  I'm too stubborn to have to pay shipping to and from to fix their error, a voucher for a free grade wouldn't hurt. I might send it in with another batch to get graded, have a real nice Bloodwieser that should get a 9.

What gets me is the fact that I listed the card on the submission form as  Topps Wacky Packs 1973 Tasters Coke / How you get opc out of that is beyond me.

The packing slip they sent back was listed as - 1974 O-Pee-Chee Wacky Packs 3rd series tasters choke 4th series ????
In the 5 cards I sent in it's the only one they screwed up, got a Swiss Mess they graded at 9 so at least they got that one right

I apologize for my rambling, I posted this on the forum before and got no response, do have any idea what this is, a negative?

What happens with these errors is, they see your card name on your submission and they try to look it up in their system. Sometimes they just accidentally select the OPC (or the wrong series) when they see that entry come up.

Any interest in selling the Swiss Mess 9?

I think i'll hang on to it for a while, first time I got a 9 from psa.
Is there any way to look up the serial # on the coa from psa.
Can't find anywhere on their website?

Are you asking about the serial number from the Topps COA?  That serial number for the Run-a-Way is a Topps number, so I doubt PSA will have any info on it.  Looks like a cool item!

This is where you can look up a PSA Cert # and get the card information for that cert #:

Looks like a negative, I see similar ones on ebay, but how to determine if its an original or re-issue would be nice. Going on topps vault site yields nothing

Run A Way wasn't in the 1979-1980 reissues.

I would appreciate that, I also have a 5th series Cover Ghoul that was slabbed as 1973 cover ghoul -tan back- 1st series.
Would they correct this one also? Bought this on ebay got an 8(oc)
Also do qualifiers kill the card, or is it better to submit without qualifiers

I had a Cover Ghoul corrected for the exact same reason. Here's what you do:

Fill out a normal submission form. Under "type of service" check "other" and write in "mechanical error."

Then fill in the card info and describe the error briefly under the card information.

It is free except you have to pay the postage to them. They will cover the return postage.

And yes, the OC qualifier kills the value, but a 9OC may still bring more than a straight 7. Depends on the card.
