Was at a target today. Saw the new series. It was 11:00 am and the fricken pack searchers have already been there. They do have a green ludlow back set. I wonder if that is for retail?
Can we see a lineup/checklist of the 110 base entries (more or less)?it will eventually get on the Master List.
Liking the patches. Looks like most are un-numbered and the rares are numbered and limited to 5. That will be interesting to watch. The Wood and Wardrobe cards don't do much for me at first glance.
I'm trying to figure out what is common or rare for both relics and patches. I know the super rare relics are numbered. I think I pulled 2 rare relics because the design is different than the regular card. The patches are different colors so I'm not sure which color is common or rare. Plus there are 3 different patch color backgrounds.
Here are the relics I pulled

Anyone pull any of my 'Artist Autograph' cards? It's my first original Wacky gag and artwork. Sadly I didn't do ant sketch cards for this series :(
The Wood and Wardrobe cards don't do much for me at first glance.
All of the wardrobe cards I saw last night are all gone! Have they really sold???? I don't get the appeal here but maybe when I get one in my hands to look at closely....A

So far what I have seen on the bay is : Common Patch Logo Relics are un-numbered, Rare ones are numbered X/5.The wrapper states there a 3 different relics - common, rare and super rare. These 2 I have are the rare version because they are a variation of the original designed card.
Wardrobe cards are un-numbered. Not sure if there are numbered rare ones of those.
Which gag(s) did you do?e
I did Krafty Shingles
Jon, very cool, it's an awesome gag.
why are folks calling the embroidered logo's a 'relic' card.
if anything, the 'wardrobe' cards are the relics.
is the just an eBay tactic?
That is what they are called on the wrapper.sounds like Topps is expanding the meaning of relic to be whatever they want it to be.

Happy with my pulls: 1 wood card, 1 patch Logo Relic , 1 wardrobe Card, 1 wacky Back, 1 auto, 1 D. Graham Color Sketch
Hey a Wackyback!!! What's the front of this look like?
Alex
Card #25 Blue Giant is the Wacky Back. Pretty cool to finally own one. ;)
Andrew, congrats on that pull. I have yet to see one on eBay so they may turn out to be very scarce again!
They aren't. I pulled 10. I'm guessing people aren't looking at the backs. Also they have the same sketch and no variation.
Same back but different fronts? Or all exactly the same?
A
Different fronts.there's supposed to be 15 of every title with a wacky back.

I can't see where dotted fabric in a card with Shorts Illustrated printed on it is a relic.

So are there common, rare, and super rare versions of the embroidered patches?
I might have missed something, but can someone please tell me how there can be "relic cards" of fabric from Wackys? My Lucille Ball relic card from Breygent's Movie Poster set in 2009 has a piece of the faux leopard coat she actually wore during filming. That I thought was kind of cool, but I can't see where dotted fabric in a card with Shorts Illustrated printed on it is a relic.
OK, no one seems particularly interested in the WP 2015 lost Wackys but I did want to add one little tidbit. If you look close you'll see the worms in Wiggly Packages are actually eating Wacky series 7 postcards. I thought that was pretty cool as series 7 is my favorite postcard set.
True dat! My name is Mud!
Nice observation. That is my favorite title of this release.
Glad you like it! A little trivia: Wiggly Packages is a Paul Harris title that I painted and was originally planned for series 7 postcards. But late into development, we decided to hold it for series 8. In the meantime, we had already started the sketch cards, so every now and then, you'll see a series 7 sketch card with one of the Wiggly Packages characters! And as Joe mentioned, the titles on the art are the postcard titles, "Capn Clunk" and "Marigold Whip". Really cool to finally see it printed!

What are the billboard spoofs on the backs of 6 of the 2015 Wacky Packages stickers?they are repeats of the six billboard inserts found inside the collector boxes. same as was done with the last few series.
for those curious about the purple border cards found in the bonus packs...
anyone? anyone? Bueller?
it's far more obvious which is which in this scan than it is in normal lighting

Been seeing some very nice sketches.ingeniously evil.
Here are a couple returns sketches I did for this series.
The first one has every non-repeat die cut.
The second two combine to feature every first series title.

Hello:
I'm trying to figure out what this sketch card that I pulled from a collectors box is. Is this what the are calling "Panoramic Sketch Card" ??? And I can't make out the signature either, I'd love to know who the artist is.
Thanks for the help!

The first value pak I opened I forgot about the purple parallels and put all the cards in my stacks - now I can't tell them apart from the regular black borders!yeah, the purples are practically indistinguishable. almost like a faded black. you gotta eat your carrots before looking at these.
Under indoor lights and with my old eyes it's almost impossible - why did Topps do this??!!!! Are the purples always among the last 3 cards in the value paks?
Alex
Weird - when I tried to open the picture during the night to see it larger it wouldn't work, but now it does, and I can read his signature.
Mark, wonderful gag and painting! Also cool that your card on eBay if the first green Ludlow to surface. Still no Wacky backs listed. Will we have a repeat of last years Wacky backs mystery?
This might be the worst Kirsch sketch I have ever seen

I'm afraid I won't end up with any of the panorama cards as I'm not buying tons from this series and I'm not even sure what type of box these cards are found it. But it's fun to see them. Hi Joe, Thanks. Only The Belches / Planet of the grapes combo & the other POTG are my Artist Returns. I tried to make them all Artist Return quality... and I had a hard time choosing my keepers from the lot... but as always, "Apes" win every time. I did the Coca-Coal billboard. I submitted it as a base-set concept in two takes: a coal-mining riff and a Santa gag. Topps went with the Santa version and asked me to turn it into a billboard.I like both of these versions, Fred. It reminds me that I always thought it would be interesting to see a subset of various takes on the same product. Of course, we're seeing that, kind of, with multiple versions of products like Lucky Charms in different series.

5- Red
3-Green
2-Blue
can you list out which are which? I'm trying to tally up as many as I can spot.
so far every title is in just 2 colors (except one)
6 of the 10 titles are about 50/50 split
Dud red/blue
Fear Out green/blue
Fruit Tomb red/green
Pure Hex red/green
Shorts Ill green/blue
Tied green/blue
4 of the 10 titles are unbalanced.
Barf Wimpson 75/25 Red/Blue
Blue Beanie 80/20 Red/Green
Mold Rush 72/25 Green/Blue
Wash'n Fly 100 Red. I have not seen a second color for this one yet.
so thumbs up or down on this newest release ?
I say Thumbs Up - love all the variations...alot of the gags are funny - some puke gross humor - but to be expected with 110 cards...should have had some LENTS!! and at those prices almost all color sketches...IMO
not a fan of redoing gags that were good on the 2nd try..like the DD one..
Is there a super rare variant for the Wormy Packages Embroidered card? There are three variants for all the other ones from what I've seen on eBay.
All color sketches?! Oh lordy, lordy…
Yes. I have one..can't confirm the other statement - F&S has posted this on the master list..Must be super duper rare then! I haven't seen the 3rd Wormy Packages embroidered card on eBay yet.

One little tidbit, I just noticed, is that the backs of the printing plates credit the artist who did the painting. I believe this is the first time this was ever done.awesome! I hadn't noticed that. that gave me another dozen artist names for the master list.

Brad may know someone who owns one of the super rares.........
Who is collecting ALL the Patch Relics from this release? That will be one pricey set. Brad???
There could be a really nice red ludlow Band-Ache for $500 (just an example, don't jump all over me)
This is tough for me as I would like to collect all the extras but this stuff is getting a bit expensive. It will never have the value as it has now. Yes it would be great to own all variations but at what cost? its funny because people will spend amazing amounts of cash for something new but would never spend that same amount in a truly rare original series sticker. There could be a really nice red ludlow Band-Ache for $500 (just an example, don't jump all over me) but people can't believe how expensive it is but they have no problem dropping $500 on a Lynch color ANS1 sketch? I don't know if that's a great example because it is a Lynch original art but some people don't understand. It's amazing what people will pay for the new stuff. I guess it all comes down to what people want to collect and how much cash they have. We do need to realize most of these people paying high dollar for new stuff has a great original series collection. This is just more cool stuff to collect.
So you do not own a super rare relic? Also, the Green Ludlows seem to be the "Sleeper" money card in this release. They are now pulling $30 on the bay. How do the pack searchers find these without opening the packs??? I think its funny that the Green Luds are worth "Green". That makes me wonder if Topps will do a variation with a $ on it. For a while the Hot Wheels Mattel was labeling the Super Treasure Hunt cars with " Trea$ure Hunt".
I think J Leonard on page 2 of this thread posted a pic of a super rare. Can't see it myself right now because my co computer is blocked for certain images. They've disappeared from ebay! Awhich one was super rare? I am still in the dark. (not the logo cards, those I have a super rare one) I am still trying to figure out the swatch of cloth cards.
They are not all dogs though :)Fantastic!
And here are my Panoramic return cards.Awesome stuff! I was going to say the SW was my favorite, but the other two are just as cool :)
Awesome stuff! I was going to say the SW was my favorite, but the other two are just as cool :)
Neil, just curious, did you design the coupon backs? I always wondered where they came from!
Anyone got a few extra cards from the new 2015 set that they'd like to trade? I'm looking for cards 28 - 42 (the coupon wacky backs) as well as a checklist card. Also, I'd like to get a few extras of card #58.
And while I'm asking, I'd be interested in finding a couple of cards from the "cutting room floor Wacky Chrome set, Unnatural Airsick and Pixie Piddle Cups.
I have a grab bag of extras from previous ans sets and/or postcards, so let me know if there's something in particular you need.
Good to see you John.
Jim
Beautifully done, and I would have signed it "NEWT Camera" ;)
In fact, I think an old version of this idea had "Jay Leech" sketch cards, too?
Here's a 2015 "Wiggly Packages" sketch card I just finished that's looking for a good home! I'll consider all offers until Sunday night and then it's off to (gulp) ebay! Please, don't let it come to that ;)Brad, You know you want it for your collection!

Hey everyone, I am proud to share that Cop-tarts, Nesquak and Creature Valley
were concepts I submitted and was used in this set,
Colin Walton had me rework my original ideas a bit and Junghwa Im did the final art
for Cop-Tarts and Creature Valley and Brent Engstrom did the final art for Nesquak.

I will know once I receive my Wormy Super Rare 5/5 in a few days and do some research. Just learned the Milk Foam Super Rare is the Milk Foam Dog in the Grave Train pose.
Could it be from Scare Deal?
I received my Super Rare 5/5 Wormy Packages Logo Patch Relic Card today. I am very happy to own this card. When they did not surface on Ebay I figured the higher resale prices on these were driving non-ebay deals and I inquired around. I was able to locate this card and make an offer so now own the 3 Versions.
The Mixed Up Character Concept has been executed really well with these cards.

a shame those pics are blurred to the point of near uselessness
Just saw the 1/5 Cracked Jerk Super rare Logo Relic sell for about $280 on the bay. Pretty good deal. I think it was listed in a way that many people missed it.
Here's one more you might have missed ;) ...
Ladies and Gents, I give you the WORLD'S FIRST "RELIC" SKETCH CARD! The red "Wormy Packages" logo is real fabric! Now accepting all ludicrous offers before I resort to ebay! Just send me a PM...

Nifty!
I don't know why, but Topps used my first rough sketch--submitted when I first pitched the idea--for the pencil card, rather than using the tighter pencil drawing that I did later.

Nifty!yeah, it really stood out for me that the eyes were different when I put all cards side by side. I then realized the B&W must be a rough version, it's so noticeably different. Having cards like this is really cool.

I think many though, are a photoshop gimmick to make 'penciled' versions of the final art, but for quite a few they are clearly the rough versions. Making them truly unique cards.
I think that's a first right? the pencils in the last two series were all just b&w versions of the cards and there were no roughs?
I spotted one card where the rough is actually a different name/title than the final - Cuttereye vs Cutterbye. Less violent, perhaps?
... raise a foil cardcan't 'see' your foil card, but I'll put in my 'pair' of foil wrappers...

and we both get the Retail box top, which is pretty cool.

and since we aren't actually seeing an eye get cut

errrr, "Un Chien Andalou" anyone? >(
Did we ever have a topic where people talked about the titles in this set?
What are your favorites?
What makes you laugh hysterically?
What didn't work for you, and made you groan?

i want you to know

Here are the only pics I have that show all 18 Logo Patch Relic Cards. Topps did a really nice job of putting characters in poses from other titles and mixing up the characters. Sorry the images are not great but at least all the cards can be seen by everyone here now.

Were these examples put together from photos made from ebay auctions perhaps? Ayes, that's definitely what they are. color prints placed in sleeves.
Upon looking at these pics again, did anyone notice that the cards are all different sizes? Were these examples put together from photos made from ebay auctions perhaps? A
They are all so blurry it's hard to tell if they were cut and pasted.
Sorry the execution was so weak on the patch cards pctures. I was in a hurry to post the images and didn't realize how poor the images were until later.
I thought it would still give you an idea of what the poses were. That was the main intent.
Andrew
No problem. We are trying to figure out if they actually are different sizes. Are they?

A 1 of 5 made Weakies Super Rare Patch card is now up. It will be interesting to see what it sells for. Still have never seen another Super Rare Wormy for sale. Very happy with that purchase.
Is the artwork on the limited-to-5 embroidered Wackys any different or do they just have the gold stamp?
Could you post a clear photo of that Wormy Packages super rare patch please?(http://s22.postimg.org/40fjhr3q5/100_4304.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/40fjhr3q5/)
I guess we'll never know- the auction has ended.......
I've got four of the 2015 embroidered number cards, but still looking for the Wormy Packages and Hipton.
If you know of anyone willing to sell these other two, please let me know.
Thanks, LS
how much do they sell for?

I tried for the Beanball last month but was outbid. I guess by you. Best of luck in your quest.
