Title: Disgusted with TOPPS

I have reached my wits end. I placed an order for the RE postcards on June 30th, its July 9th. They should have been here 3 days later.

I have been unable to get ahold of anyone at Topps for days, i've called phone#s i've sent emails. No one has contacted me on this matter.


dont hold your breath, but i may be done with wackys, with all the money grabbing over new products and ridiculous chase sets. The price hikes, the swill sketches, the complete lack of customer service. It has gotten way out of hand, and I for 1 will not put up with it anymore.

Stick a fork in me boys, I'm done!  >:D

I placed an order on Friday, 6/28 and have not seen a thing yet.  I'm starting to wonder if it's lost, and I dread trying to deal with Topps....

I bailed a long time ago on newer Wacky stuff.  trust me when I say you are better off from both a financial and sanity standpoint. The only time its tough is when people start posting pictures of and talking about newer items when they first come out.  it's hard not to be part of that, but that feeling of missing out does not last very long.

I would not be able to work for a company like that.    

I mean, what the hell is this crap?   1-866-374-8266   is their "customer service number"  (the verizon wireless cust is not available at this time, please try your call again later)  A CELL PHONE IS CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR A MULTIMILLION DOLLAR COMPANY??? you've got to be joking?

Still waiting for a refund on the LE  PC set I purchased that only had the postcards. Emailed, Spoke to CS> Was told someone would call me from Topps OnLine. No one called. Sent back the cards.....Nothing.

Topps is usually excellent with shipping my items and more often than not (99% of the time) regular shipping affords delivery the very next day after placing an order. Last week (the 4th) I purchased 2 of the RE postcards and it isn't here as of yet which is rather odd.

Topps is usually excellent with shipping my items and more often than not (99% of the time) regular shipping affords delivery the very next day after placing an order. Last week (the 4th) I purchased 2 of the RE postcards and it isn't here as of yet which is rather odd.

My July 4th order still shows IN PROCESS status. No shipping number yet. Wonder what the holdup is?

I placed an order on the 27th and it still has not shipped yet.  Supposedly Topps has moved the Vault operations to NYC which has caused a few issues and the standard inventory is now warehoused in Massachusetts. There is a new Customer Service team starting today as well. The switch to FEDX will also slow things up a few more days. Topps was closed most of last week to celebrate the July 4th holiday. I am not making excuses for Topps but this may explain some of the recent delays. Hopefully, everything will run smoothly by the end of the week.

An E-mail, a phone call...some contact...any contact. But they sure as hell will make sure you get a LATEST RELEASE email so you dont miss spending any money, Screw getting the product to the customer.

I'm with Jeff. This move for Topps is really a mess for them. I don't know why it would have to be either. I broke down and ordered some RE sets also but haven't gotten any shipping info either. The postcards were all they had in NY so that is if you purchased any other product other than the PCs your order would have been delayed. I'm sure they shipped their batch of PCs to MA so that is what is holding things up, that and the fact it doesn't sound like they are ready to ship from MA because it would only take a day to ship the sets to MA.

I also placed a order on 7/4/13 & it still shows processing,they don't answer messages,on a another order they didn't send me pcm cards over a month ago,that time they finally answered & said they would send them still waiting. don't know what kind a service they are giving this days. >(

A STINGING Testamonial                       I ordered a Halloween binder they sent me 1 damaged in numerous places so the replacement binder came ONLY damaged in one spot, must have been packed by Mr. Magoo

Something as simple as a generic email stating a delay in shipping orders placed between such and such days would help a situation rather than taking our money and leaving the status up in the air.

If I don't hear something very soon, I'll probably cancel my order.  Tomorrow will be two weeks, and I'm now extra ticked off because I could have ordered them at the discount last weekend if I was going to have to wait this long.

Right. Because you ordered the binder it slowed down the whole order for you. Topps only had the PC's in NY and the rest of their inventory was shipped to MA. Now you have to wait for Topps to send the extra PC's to MA so they can put together your total order. It's kind of a mess right now.

I'm not at the point yet where I'll cancel my order of two R.E. postcard sets but I don't believe it is too much for Topps to keep us abreast of the situation. My thinking is if you can take my money as soon as I order, you can send me tracking info or other info pertaining to any circumstances which may delay my item(s) arriving. Perhaps if I was accustomed to waiting more than a week for delivery I wouldn't be concerned but that isn't the case.

Its not a matter of waiting, it the matter of taking your money......and nothing!  No shipping info, nothing. Then when you try to contact the company and all you get is a recorded msg, and then after waiting over an hour on the phone, being told that there is nothing they can do, and heres a e-mail you can write to. WTF

oh, the e-mails go unanswered.

With OLDS 1, at least you knew what was going on.

I agree - they shouldn't be charging our cards if they can't ship the product in a timely manner.  Amazon doesn't charge you anything until their packages are out the door; seems like online selling 101 to me.

I know EXACTLY how you feel!  I have been trying for well over 3 MONTHS now to get a couple of the GPK BNS2 gold border cards replaced and after all this time they LOST the ones I sent in, one of which being the "Protestin' Preston" (AKA - Adam Bomb) and another I can't remember the name of.  After my 7th phone call and waiting for an hour and being disconnected and another 45 minutes I think this MAY have finally been resolved.

Of course I am not getting my Protestin' Preston back!  Instead they are going to send me 3 "randomly picked" golds in place of the 2 they LOST!

NOT A FAIR REPLACEMENT!!!  The Preston card alone is worth about 4 to 5 regular gold borders from this series so I really should be getting 5 or 6 golds, PLUS some extra items for all of the time I have wasted on this!

Now this doesn't even include the additional 18 packs that were missing and of the "hits" or "chase" cards!  This they tried to resolve by sending me 18 Dollar Tree 4 card packs that DO NOT contain and insert cards!  I was able to pry 4 packs out of the 18 that should have been replaced, so I guess that is kind of a win with Topps "customer" support people!

I do have extra packs of the Dollar Tree store 4 cards packs if anyone is interested.  PM me if you are interested and we can talk numbers.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close to dropping Topps as well for the blatant screw-ups with the BNS2 series and other major issues with customer service, or lack there of, but everytime I think I am done with them some cool new series comes out!  I am REALLY looking forward to the GPK Chrome series and the upcoming Mars Attacks! Invasion series.  I have 4 Chrome cases and at least 3 or 4 cases of both reserve for pre-order.

I'll have extra sets, subsets, etc.  So if there is anything you may need the second half of October just PM me and I'll help you out as much as I can!

Ask yourself why Amazon uses such a practice. Everyone remains happy and it is a win/win situation. The customer wants his item and the company wants your money. Generally speaking people don't like to pay for something and then have the status of the item remain in limbo.

I remember topps taking our money in August '09 and then not telling us diddly-sh1t for the next 6 months.
if it wasn't for Dave Gross going out of his way to placate our frustrations, we would have never had a clue what in the world was going on.

The wait for Old School 1 was because it was a pre-order, and while Topps certainly should have done a better job keeping customers apprised of the status, we got a nice discount for pre-ordering when we knew the product wasn't ready.  I think there were posters given to us because of the wait. 

What has me steamed now is placing an order on 6/28 at full price for a product they're advertising as in stock, and getting no info at all.  I realize people on the west coast expect a week or more for delivery, but I am in New York, and for an order to take more than 2 weeks with no email explanation at all is annoying.  Usually, if I place an order on a Friday, it's here by Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest.  How am I to know whether it was misdirected or lost?  And, I have refrained from buying or trading sketch stickers because of my pending order.  Had I known there was going to be such a delay, I would have just looked around on ebay, and then maybe ordered at the sale price for the 4th of July.

The OLDS1 wait ended up happening because the printer screwed up all the cards. They die-cut through them so they all had to be redone. The other issue was it was the first time they did a pre-sale and no one really calculated how much before the cards were to be printed should you really hold a pre-sale.

No but I finally received my order this morning and I can already tell this new way of shipping and such is going to be a cluster frig. Apparently I ordered these cards on 7/11/13 (according to the invoice) although I seem to remember buying them on the Forth of July.

Once before it appeared to be workers in N.Y.C. putting the orders together and now it is Quiet Logistics. For some reason I fear it turning into the debacle known as Digital River used by Mattel.

On a side note the sketches are nice:

I just got my tracking from the 4th sale. Mine shipped on the 11th as well. Looks like everyone will be getting their stuff within the next few days.

I finally got a response from topps,thanks to koduck that posted this email for problems with topps.storehelp@topps.com,I sent a message using this new email this morning,within a couple of hours,received a response from Lisa,she actually sounds like she is going to help out & said she would get my order out by Wednesday (about time) & work on a second problem I had with topps over a month ago.

Here was the reply to my inquiry about my July 4th order of 9th series postcard bird edition sets...

"So sorry for the long delay. We just completed a move of our offices and warehouse. We are catching up but the item you ordered is still back ordered at this time. If you would prefer not to wait then I will be happy to refund your payment. If you can wait then item will ship to you by middle of next week. We apologize again. Thank you.

I emailed Topps again today, using the posted address.  Lisa wrote back within 4 hours and told me that my order from July 5th (which showed a status of "processing") had in fact shipped and was scheduled to arrive today.  Sure enough, FedEx dropped it off tonight.  And for once, I was truly happy with my sketches!  I ordered 3 of the "Birds" sets and got nice color sketches in all three sets.  I must say though, it appears from what I pulled and what's been posted that the sketch stickers were, on the whole, better drawn and more detailed than the more expensive LE sketch cards.  I'm happy that the sticker sketches are so cool, but it does seem kind of backwards from a marketing standpoint.

My speculation is that many orders got "stuck" in their system and this is a case of "the squeaky wheel gets the grease". The people who complained first, had their orders looked at and processed or nudged. At some point, they ran out of Postcard 9 RE sets and now they are on backorder. Like I said, just speculation but seems to fit. What a way to run a business.  :sign0098:  <-  That's me with my sarcasm sign.

My email last week went unanswered, but they responded to my Monday evening email asking about the status of my order by just refunding my money yesterday, which surprised the heck out of me since I never mentioned a refund.  I'm actually OK with that - now I'll probably look around for some sketches that grab me, and when Topps get their shipping process back in shape, I can re-order if I want to.

That's basically what I ended up doing. I wanted three sticker/sketches... one of each shape. I cancelled the back ordered items with Topps and picked up sticker/sketches I liked from ebay.

Not really Topps related, but I have noticed for a few months now that some items being sent via UPS are delivered to the local post office then delivered by USPS. My son received a package today from THINK GEEK but thought is was mis-delivered. He saw the label addressed to our post office address and missed the label with his name. At first I thought it was just smaller mailbox sized packages but the one he received today was pretty large.

It's now 7:15 and no FedEx delivery. My status still shows out for delivery but now my expected delivery date says N/A. WTF? First Topps delays and now FedEx? I'm about ready to jump out a window. This isn't Topps fault but in a way it is because they switched from UPS. My packages has been on the truck since 8:30 AM and it doesn't get delivered? Unreal! Did my delivery guy roll his truck? It's not like I live in the boonies. Very upset!

Funny thing is I asked the driver what happened and he told me 'I can tell you aren't the last delivery tonight.'
Why would they still be out so late? Are there too few drivers? Understaffed? It's not even the holidays. I can't imagine how after Thanksgiving is. Not a job for me.

I think a lot of it is just simply poor mail delivery, whether it's USPS, UPS or FedEx.

They don't guarantee squat anymore.  The "Priority" in Priority Mail is a joke, they
don't promise a delivery date, ask them.

On the other hand, I've always gotten everything and anything from Topps in a
very timely manner.  Maybe the Boston-area gets things quickly, who knows?

I got an after hours delivery from UPS with an Old School delivery, and I went from despondent to overjoyed in seconds at the unexpected truck noises out front.  I believe it was a Friday, I had stayed home from work just for the delivery, and I was looking at a weekend of seeing people posting stuff while mine were in a truck until Monday, when I had to be at work.  The driver told me that my stuff had been put into the wrong truck (his) and they try to deliver whatever they have whenever possible.

I've had nothing but nightmarish experiences from the Topps shop. Latest incident: I ordered some Wacky items including the series 10 binder on July 6th. Payment cleared via Paypal immediately. I just got an email yesterday saying my stuff was shipped FedEx ground. ELEVEN DAYS LATER. I too reached the cellphone "not taking calls at this time" message several days ago from the "store help" number.
 In all seriousness, why would they ship out 11 days after receiving payment? Even after the exorbitant shipping cost? Who does that?
...just sent them an F-bomb laced email, doubt it'll be read, much less acted upon.
 As always, stellar customer service from Topps.

Topps should address the shipping situation in the very near future. Actually it should have been looked at years ago. When someone orders 2 R.E. sets of post cards why ship them in a box that resembles a shoe box? This last order was the first time I received post cards in such a large box. The previous order of the L.E. cards came in that typical white box that could fit a hard cover book with just a bit of room left over. Useless and unneeded space costs $$$$.

I just realized from Paypal that my 6/28 order for the regular postcard sets was canceled with a reason of "out of stock."  The reason was not in the email I got from Topps.  So, people who ordered in July got sets, but people who ordered in June got canceled??  I am SO confused......

Unfortunately, it has not gotten any better over the past few weeks.  I figured that I would give them the benefit of the doubt as they reorganized their warehouse and customer service departments a few weeks ago.  I ordered two separate items from Topps 2 weeks ago.  They took my money and acknowledged the order.  They finally acknowledged shipping my order yesterday but only shipped one line item.  I inquired via storehelp@topps.com and asked them when the second line item will ship. They responded with the tracking number.   I told them that the tracking number covers only the first line item and I need a status on the second line item.  I did not hear back so I called Topps directly.  I was directed to someone in customer service and their mail box is full.  I am almost at the point where everyone else is.  I simply do not have the time, energy or patience with them any longer.

after writing ToppsShop last week about the continued problem, Lisa wrote back to me on Tuesday apologizing for the extensive delay.
She said the missing puzzle piece would arrive shortly and included a tracking # as well.
oddly - it was shipped from California
it arrived today and it was in a really nice magnet snap case.
so, problem solved, all is good, and I'm ready to order set #3 next Wednesday
