Looks like there's some serious pent up demand for diecut number variations. These cards are pretty ratty and bringing in some serious cash anyway. I saw a whole bunch of diecuts in the $3 to $10 range & these stood out among them.

I wouldn't give you $20 for the whole lot. That is just crazy pricing. I could never get that lucky selling swill.

These 12 number variations are pretty rare and it has been my observation that they show up 1 or 2 times a year if that. Some of them show up much less, and I believe the quacker & breadcrust show up a bit more frequently. The JM21 might show up every 2 to 3 years. I think that may be as tough if not more so than Ratz & cracked Animals. For people trying to put together a complete diecut set, the bidding can get pretty competitive.
With that said, I wouldn't jump through hoops to get them in such crappy condition, and if I did have them as placeholders, I'd be looking to upgrade.

I would say the #6 Grave Train in close to NM condition is worth at least $250.00, but $500.00? And like you said the condition of them should bring them down, not up!

I definitely agree that in an ideal world, a nice one should bring about $250 to $300, and condition should bring the value down proportionally. The problem is that there seem to be so few of them that the rarity trumps condition when people are trying to complete their sets. I remember about 5 or 6 years ago a JM21 was on ebay and went for around $600. I wasn't familiar with the number variations at the time. Once I researched it, I was on the lookout for one. It took about 4 more years for one to surface, and I lost out on an exc raw one to Leslie for around $1,100.00. I would never have dreamed it would spike that high. I haven't seen one on ebay since then.

Based on what I have seen the Jolly #21 is not too far behind Ratz and Cracked as far as rarity goes. I think the value is a lot less because it has multiple #'s. I know of a couple in NM condition that sold on the $1,500.00 reach range though.

I guess there's a point where condition will kill a sale even on a htf item.
Although there was a not so great shape #43 maddie boy diecut that sold for an incredible $255

This #43 maddie boy diecut only bought in $20.50 a day later. Did it slip through the cracks, or was the condition just too poor to generate any interest??
