Title: LTL Prints
Post by: BumChex on March 15, 2010, 07:42:47 PM
Most of you have heard of LTLPrints and the fantastic Wacky Packages wall graphics they offer. If you haven't you owe it to yourself to go check them out.
There is a link on the forum to go right to LTLPrints and check them out for yourself.
They recently also added the Hollywood Zombies collection and also have our own Jay Lynch art!
I have attached some of my quick pix I took around my 'mancave' to show how cool these are. I only have so much wall space so I have been rotating them out all over my basement. I just got in 30 new 2'ers from their most recent update of Wacky Packages art.

Check it out.

Really Cool.  I was going to have my daughter get me the smallest one of Awful Bits for my birthday this month but changed my mind since they are kind of expensive.  I would like them to make one for Nertz.

I don't think it would be too expensive depending on the size you want. I think a 2' Awful Bits would run about $30. I got one and it looks great. I will see if I can't get it up today on a wall to show you. Once you get one on your wall you will be hooked!

Check out the Aweful Bits picture above. Just like the original art!

So, the Awful Bits doesnt have all the writing that is on the sticker?  I am really partial to the second original series.  30 bucks is a lot for me.  I will be lucky to get the binders and all the other stuff that is coming out.

No, it has all the writing. What do you see is missing? You can order the 1' for about $15. They are like larger stickers such as the Barman I have in the pictures.

So, you have purchased some of the 1' ones???  That was what I was going to have my oldest daugher get me for my birthday this month, but she talked me out of it and I ended up getting two CD's.  "Flavors Of Entanglement"  By Alanis Morissette and BIgger, Better, Faster, More by 4 Non Blondes.  I guess I could get the Awful Bits for myself.

You know what would make a great LTL print? That collage of Wacky characters you did for Phil C. Imagine that as a 6' wall mural  :o

Duh!!!!  Here I was thinking it was some kind of technical terminology or something and it was something simple.

So... no March promo?
Title: Re: LTL Prints
Post by: jaylynch on March 17, 2010, 04:42:37 PM
Since Topps owns all the Wacky characters, and since Phil Carpenter owns the painting....These two entities gotta get together before it can be a wall mural.

The promo thing is Greg's thing. I don't know if we will do a Wackypackagesforum promo but Neils graphic for our logo would be nice on a wall!

I wanted to reach out with a quick update.  We've been delayed with the most recent promo as we are attempting to get additional assets from Topps. That hit a few roadblocks but we're still very excited about our collection of over 400 titles.

Please use the coupon code "WP7Foot-tall" (without quotes) for your free yellow wrapper promotion. This code is valid through the end of March.

We thank you for your continued support and look forward to your feedback.

THANK YOU!

I just received a Cadbully Crime Egg and a Reekola (not a combo that's been ordered by others, I would imagine) and they look great. Especially the Cadbully. I may have to order something else this month to get the yellow pack!

Hi I just tried to order (3) 2-foot-tall titles.  and tried the promo code, but got "invalid code for items in your cart"....you don't have to buy an actual 7-foot tall one for the promo, do you?

I am not sure why the error. It doesn't matter what size print you order because it does them on the 7'ers also. Go ahead and order and then send Kendall an email to make sure that print is included. He will make it right for you. They are very responsive and he also wants you to come back and order more ;)

Once you put up one of these in a 2 foot size, it's darn near impossible to NOT order more!!

Thanks Brad!  I will try again, with the link above (in this thread, I assume?)

[edit] just ordered...got the promo this time.  Last time I forgot the promo code on the first page of the order, but when it took you to the 2nd page to fill out name, addy, etc, it still had the box to enter promo code....maybe it does not work on that page.  I just ordered 2 feet Crust, Awful Bits, and Plastered Peanuts and the yellow wrapper!  I guess the yellow wrapper will be a 2 foot to match my stuff....it said "custom"?

Additional titles:  There have been some questions recently if we are going to add a final wave of additional titles.  As of now, the answer is no.

We have received support in getting high resolution scans (600 dpi +) from collectors and offering those prints for sale after they pass quality tests.  If there is a title you are looking for, perhaps you can take it upon yourself to submit a high resolution scan to me directly [kendall@LTLprints.com].  Once these scans pass the quality tests we will offer them for sale in the catalog to everyone.

We would love to see a complete set on our website.  We are asking for your assistance here.  We can also take your feedback on other titles that you would like to see improved (missing text, alternate versions, etc).

We love hearing from you.  Feel free to reach out with ANY questions or concerns.

THANK YOU!

Sincerely,

Kendall,

I noticed some over-sized wackys in an ad for a show called Victorious on Nickelodeon. They are on the school locker on the right hand side of the image below.
Just wondering if they are LTL prints? and if so, were you playing around with border colors as well? as I see one is green and one is pink - colors that were in the Wacky Flashback set.

There is something strange to me about that image.  Notice that the vents on the locker are very clearly visible through the Wackys.  Either those Wackys are very thin or these images were super-imposed over the locker image.  My guess is the latter.

maybe the prints are cut at the vent lines in order to smooth them down?
I'm not sure, but they are definitely on the locker and not added as a post processing image. It looks like the art department spent some time adding some flair to the entire set of lockers. You can see these wackys on the promotional images for the show as well.

OK so it's not a wacky LTL print, but I did order a different one and pretty thrilled with how it came out.  I've always had a fascination with tall buildings and NYC especially.  Sorry about the unmade bed  :D

I received the 5 piece best seller set a couple of days ago.  The Demented, Hostile Thinkies, Beanball and Creep are all very sharp.  Plastered Peanuts is not the same quality image, and has the diecut, but still, it's an old favorite!  Overall I'd say this set was well worth the $30.

I'm annoyed with myself, I had a coupon code from completing a survey, and I forgot to use it.  :'(    This order didn't come with a coupon, but if I order more in the future, I will hopefully remember to try the old one.

What did you think of the prints?   If you want to try a 2' size, with Tacky Packages blown up that big, you can really make out all the Wackys.  And the Dead and Buried came out fantastic, too, that one might be right up your alley!  I think that's the only postcard art they offer - maybe they'll eventually add others.  I'd love to be able to order Bots!!

Kendall how about wacky packages combo kits like all cereal or all candy or smokes & drinks (which would look great behind a persons bar or in a pub)related say perhaps anywhere to from 3-5 prints in a set and maybe have them in various sizes.  I lean towards the cereal combo set  ;D

What are those pipes near your ceiling? (which appears to be made of cement)
Do you live in a tilt-up warehouse?
Nah, it's a loft building - those are just exposed ducts, one from the dryer and the other from the bathroom fan leading to outside.  I just saved some money by not putting in a drop ceiling  :P

The Kleenex is for the GF - her allergies are awful in the spring.

I agree that a cereal combo set would be great!  Here are a few I'd like to see included in the set: Weakies, Capn' Crud, Awful Bits, Snatch a Pak, Cheapios, Grazin' Bran, and Triks.  I can think of other combo sets (beer, candy/sweets, etc), but cereal is the most appealing if you ask me (and thanks for asking me!).

A cereal set would be awesome!  But, I think Kendall would need us to provide good scans for titles he doesn't already have.
Hmmm, maybe I can scan one of those custom Cap'n Crud cards....  Actually, the Plastered Peanuts in that group might be better than the scan he has for that.

Regarding scans... I sent them a Dull I scanned at 1600 dpi, and the 2' I bought came out very pixelated and the bottom text was illegible. I may try cleaning up the text a little to see if that will make it look better. I was mostly surprised that a 1600 scan would be so stretched and blurry looking.

I don't think it's an issue getting them scans. It's really a copyright issue. They need to get the permission from Topps first.

But of course! Isn't here always a legal issue that stands before anything.  I just hope in the end LTL gets the permission and good scans so they can create some nice combo sets with a cereal set being the first.

Kendall said the larger the better. That's the largest my scanner would do though. Kendall told me before I bought it that it might not look good at the larger sizes, but I wanted to try it anyway. I'm not blaming them at all. I'm hoping I can clean it up somewhat, cause I really want a giant Dull on the wall  ^-^ Just love the deep blue color, with the yellow to contrast. And the artwork on that one is amazing.

Mine can do 4800. I am scanning right now but at that res it is incredibly slow. I wonder how big the file will be? If you want to try it again just let me know. I could upload it to the site so Kendall could download it. I wonder if your scanner can actually do a higher res and it's not a software limitation. What scanner do you have?

Scanning a sticker will always produce bad results. A sticker is low res. You can't scan low res material and expect a hi res image to magically appear. You're just making a bigger version of a low res image. It's like watching a VHS tape on your HDTV and expecting it to somehow look better.

Regarding scans, they do need them because Topps is no longer sending them any. Once they have a scan they can get permission to add it to their catalog. They need scans of art, not printed material.

Here is a scan of Dull at 2400 res. I scanned it with Vuescan at 4800 res but for some reason it's only showing up at 2400. This is really interesting to view at this res.
This scan is 50mb and once it's downloaded on your screen you should save it to your computer. Open your photo software and tell it to show actual pixels. It will show you everything! Every imperfection and small dust particles. Even shows you the grain of the white border and take a look at the corner and edges.
This is a pretty poor card. It is a restick but I wanted to see how this looked in high res. I don't know why I haven't scanned cards before at this high res. It's like putting it under a microscope.

I ordered the Dull in the laptop size, and even that's not great, a little blurry, but not nearly as bad as you described with the 2' size.  It was obviously a sticker scan, and I wouldn't order those really large, couldn't see how they'd blow up well.  Comparing the laptop size Dull to the laptop size Demented really shows the difference.

Why Topps won't give LTL more art scans is beyond me.

Scanning a sharp sticker with a good scanner at high enough res will produce a great enlarged image. Your comparison of VHS on an HDTV isn't what we're doing here. LTL takes the scan and puts it through their software, which I am guessing does some sort of interpolation to blow up the image with minimal pixelation. Your comparison would have merit if we took the VHS output and ran it through a processor to enhance the image before it got to HDTV. I've actually done that before, and it looked better than VHS...

Your image has the same problem mine did. Check out the zoom I attached. The red and blue are off-set, causing problems when expanded. I actually tried splitting the color channels and fixing them, but it still didn't look acceptable. I couldn't shift the color separations in small enough increments to look good.

It is true though that a printed sticker even if it's in good register is not as good as a scan from the art.  There are exposures and color breaks inherent with the print process that degrade the image somewhat.  This is especially true with the 70's titles because the print quality wasn't as good as it is today.  I'm sure a new sticker would reproduce pretty well at hi-res though because print technology has improved so much over the years.

Really, I'd like to know why Topps isn't supplying new scans to LTL.  There are a lot of OS titles I think we'd all order like crazy if Topps would just supply LTL with high quality images.  Run Tony anyone?  How about the good Cap'd Crud they used for the custom cards?  And, even with recent releases, we don't have ANS1 titles available - I'd definitely buy Frosted Snakes in a 2' size!!  Bonus stickers like Easy Burn would be great.  And how about postcard art?  Where is Wander Bread?  Taco Bill?  How about Hoppy Meal?  But I don't want to be paying $15 for what looks like a fuzzy blown up sticker because that's all that was available.

I was under the impression that Topps would be making some money off LTL sales of Topps produced Wackys.  Perhaps I was mistaken.  Meanwhile, it seems to me that there is a market for more titles here, and Topps has dropped the ball.

Can artists who have scans of their recent Wacky art supply those to LTL?  Maybe that is why Dead & Buried is available, and in great detail.  That could be a great help, but really, it seems to me that Topps should be doing that.

They don't have the original art for all their titles. Look at their last batch of original series stuff. This is what they got from Topps and there are a lot of imperfections. I bought about 30 titles from that lot and most have issues such as dirt marks, tape marks, & chipped lettering.

I sent them a scan of the art. I know computers can interpolate print dots and smooth them out but all of the brush strokes would be eliminated and replaced with a computer's bland idea of what should be there. When it comes to blow ups for me, it's an art scan or nothing.

For some crazy reason Topps doesn't want the postcard art available through LTL. I sent mine in before I got word of that so I don't know how long that scan will be available. If you like it I recommend getting one soon.

There are many titles from ANS that are banned and will never be printed again so those won't be allowed in LTL's catalog. Dave might know which ones. Topps rattled off a whole list to me but so fast I don't recall any of them.

LTL sent me a replacement for the first IOU decal I bought. The first one was faded. This new one is perfect. The color is bright and saturated and the border is solid black. So if anyone considers this one I can assure you it's going to be a very nice print. Gradually we're going to improve some of the other faded images. It would help if anyone can post titles of decals they got that seem pale or faded.

IOU is the kind of Wacky Topps won't do anymore. Dave can argue it all he wants but Topps will never do a Wacky gag with a busty attractive character like this again. And boob shaped chicken doesn't count!

I think a busty hot chick is not going to be a problem depending on the context. Lubridirt in ANS6 could have been a busty chick but the artist chose not to I guess. If I had known people wanted that I would have made the Secrete girl more busty. I do have a chick in a hot bikini in one of my ANS2010 pieces though I didn't overdue her boobs. Now I have a mission for the future: get a hot big boobied gal on a Wacky.

Yeah I forgot about Lubridirt until after I posted. That's the kind of character I thought Topps wasn't doing anymore. Maybe I just need to beg the artists to think a little more about girls instead of dead dogs and idiots. You wouldn't think that would be necessary to request of most male artists.

Boy, when the boat sways it really sways. I never said leave out the dimwits and dead dogs. Why does something have to be perceived as an obsession just because it's brought up? We talk about cigarette and booze gags more than girly gags but nobody's calling those subjects obsessions. I know it's best to go with characters that fit the gag but if you're not even spoofing products with sex appeal then it's hard to arrive at a character like Umbrella or IOU. Some of these Wacky series are supposed to be geared for adults like the postcards and Old School. Shouldn't you then write gags that actually appeal to adults? I'm not a child. It's not like my sense of humor was stunted at age 10. The postcards and Old School look like they're for children. That makes little sense to me.

I suspect that any product that Topps puts out called "Wacky Packages" is going to be geared for 10 year olds like they always have been. If it isn't geared for 10 year olds, then it becomes a different animal. "Wacky Packages After Dark" maybe. The postcards and Old School are meant to be bought by adult collectors but I don't think that the sensibility changes radically. I see relaxing the standards for gags in those sets to include alcohol and cigarette parodies as a recognition that Wackys in the past included those subjects, as adult collectors will remember.

Having said that, IOU set the precedent for busty gals back in the '70s... so let's bring 'em back! (I only painted nerds, fat guys, and old ladies for the 2010 series, alas...)

R Crumb in particular had a keen interest in exploring the possibilities of rendering the female form in cartoons back in the day when he and Lynch were the vangaurd of the underground comix scene. Norm's pulp magazine covers also illustrated his eye for buxom women, which managed to slip into a couple Wackys. I do think there is a place for some big boobed female Wacky characters, but it is a fine line. For one, these were marketed to 10 yr olds, and we love them not because we still have the sense of humor of a 10 yr old, but we remember ourselves at that age and it provides a way back machine to that ideal joyful fascination and perspective.

There is a difference between childish and child-like, with the latter having the connotation of idealism and innocence, which is always welcome when things get darker and more cynical later in life. Not full tilt regression, which may require psychiatirc assistance;) But I do think it is advantageous to retain those elements which made Wackys what they were and Old School does manage to do this. Since the ANS and Flashback had only moderate success, it is fair to say the Wacky market is dominated by 40 somethings. To change the formula very much from the original intent, which combined both an adult irreverence and appeal to adolscent humor, would break the mold. That being said, bring on the big boobed Wackies.

The national Wacky Pack releases can only be profitable if kids are buying them so kids are the main audience. And kids find boobies pretty funny ya know.

I'm sure there are many legg and butt forum members who would debate that request!

I think these LTL prints look better stuck randomly and crooked just like regular Wacky stickers. It looks kinda bad to stick them as if one is hanging framed photos.

When ordering prints use the link above and it will take you to the WP page and help out the forum a bit.

I've been hoping that LTL would get prints of the ANS7 Wackys - I wanted Ditz and County Time, in particular.  And I would have LOVED to put Starbeast, Kackel, and some other Halloween titles on my front door this weekend!

Has anyone who has purchased art from Topps Vault had any done as customs by LTL?

Yeah!
I was thinking how cool and relatively easy and cheap it would be take some scans of the black and white Halloween sketches to the copy shop to blow them up to giant poster size for decorating. A life-sized Tootsie Troll would look incredible on my door!

Thanks for the heads up! I'll have to order a few before it's too late.

The wall clings have been one of my favorite new Wacky products, I hope some other company takes over the license.

Good question. I just ordered a Shrunken Donuts from them too. A friend saw it on my wall and really liked it, so I ordered her one for Christmas. I forgot to use one of my coupons I received from previous orders with LTL. I noticed it today pinned to my bulletin board. Might have to order a big one before it's all over.

they're all OS, except Pigs Blue Ribbon.

a quick search shows that using the code:  +he+studio20

So how many people are loading up on these hoping to flip them on ebay once they are "discontinued"?  Will be fun to watch that rat race as the dealers all undercut each other on price.  I heard that greg made a mention of these becoming desirable items

I hear people on greg's forum had theorized that Topps discontinued the relationship with LTL out of spite.  Do any of greg's lackeys have any facts to back that up?  Any chance it was LTL who discontinued it due to the license being too expensive and not making enough profits from it(much more likely that the conspiracy theory on greg's forum).

Now here is a thought.....how will Topps know if LTL actually stopped producing them versus someone like greg claiming they loaded up on like 100 prints of each title to "resume the business" through secondary offering yet LTL is really just printing these to fill the "secondary" market?

In other words, lets say a spiteful person like greg who has a vendetta against Topps and who's goal in life is to control all wacky pack product flow with his making profits along the way decides to continue to sell these on his website and as he receives orders, LTL prints them for him all under the guise of greg having pre-purchased stock that he is re-selling?  Any side bets that something like this will take place?

I don't know if anyone would want to risk buying a bunch to flip. I sure as hell wouldn't. I would think the people that wanted them would have bought them by now. I'm sure there are a few out there that didn't know about them but I don't believe any have shown up on ebay.
If Greg wants to buy a bunch to sell later that wouldn't bother me at all. Who knows if LTL will print any on the side. My hunch is they weren't selling too many in the last year so Topps wasn't making any money. That's business.

Ern, what are they saying the "spite" is? The only theories I can think for the license to end is:
1. They were not selling enough to warrant the license.
2. Another company bid higher for a license
3. LTL did not want the license anymore
4. Topps wants to do these themselves somehow

Whatever it is it's about money, not spite.

I spoke with Kendall yesterday, and it sounded like they just weren't making enough money for Topps.  But, from my perspective, Topps didn't do much to help with advertising, and they restricted titles for some reason - I'd have bought a lot more from LTL if postcard art had been available (H8 or Starbeast, anyone??).  And, I was waiting for ANS7 titles, as there were several titles I'd have gone for, including Ditz, Ghoul Scouts, and County Time.  How many people would have bought KissKatt if it had been available?

Anyway, I've placed two orders this week, to get some more of these cool prints while I still can.  If anyone here is still on the fence, I can say that the Blunder and Ajerx are fantastic, and look sharp even at the 2' size.  Shrunkin Donuts is also sharp, but make sure you order the one with the intact lettering from the earlier LTL 'set', which seems to have been taken from high-res scans.  Kleenaxe looks great as a laptop size.  Demented Tomatoes is also really sharp - I have that in the 8" size in the discount set.  Lifeservers is also nice as a laptop size.  The later 'set' of OS titles that seem to have been taken from sticker scans or customer art scans vary, and many are missing lettering.

All of the Old School titles I've ordered look awesome at laptop size, or 11" high for portrait versions, and the two I have at 2' also look great.  Topps seemed to have provided better scans of these, and there wasn't any sticker lettering that I've noticed on the larger ones.  For ANS titles, I'm preferring a 12"-15" print for clarity, and to minimize the appearance of lettering edges.

The one postcard title, Scary Garcia, is awesome and incredibly sharp, even at 2'.  However, I'm liking my new 10"x12" version, as it is still incredibly detailed, and takes up a lot less wall space.  That's something else that changed since LTL first offered Wacky titles - the ability to choose a custom size.  That really improves the display options, especially for portrait orientation titles, which originally were about 8" high as the 'laptop' size, and the next size up was 2' high.

Just my 2¢ worth.  I figured I'd rather buy what I can this week than regret not getting more titles later.

Ordered 2 - 2 footer's before going out last night and I noticed today Jan. 1st, there is no longer Wackys found on the LTL site.  :o

Couldn't find anywhere to enter the 15 percent off code, so I shot them an e-mail to credit me. Thought it would be on the last page of the ordering process - the Confirmation Page - but at that point, it already processed your payment. I do not think that page should be called "conformation", it is a bit misleading and I've seen this on other sites too. More appropriate, it should be called "final payment" or just "payment" page. To me, confirming information should be done BEFORE anything is PROCESSED.

Anyway, I got a Bluesberry for the band rehearsal room and a Chipanzee for the garage.  ;D

yeah, it is a bit odd. you have to click on the words "Coupon or Gift Certificate" on the shopping cart page just to create the little box that you then type the coupon code into. Why a nice, visible empty field/box isn't there by default, I don't know. Makes it very easy to overlook.

So, what did people get from LTL during the final days?  Myself, I went a little crazy, and I'll be able to decorate for quite some time.   :^)  Mostly 11-12" versions, but a couple of 2 footers.

Hi-Sea came out fantastic, it seems that scans from Old School were really good, allowing for very sharp prints.  I got a bunch of classic titles that also came out well, like Truant and Slayskool.  Some of the other classic titles were not nearly as good, but I had expected as much from the images on the site.  And, they're still cool Wackys.

What were other people's favorites?

I'd like to tell Topps that they blew an opportunity with LTL.  I was waiting for ANS7 titles, and I was anticipating Old School 2 for some great new prints.  Leaving out postcard set titles also made me crazy - I really wanted H8!!!!  Why they restricted titles, and failed to give LTL the same quality images of OS titles as they gave Abrams for books and calendars is beyond me.  Then they cancelled the license because it wasn't paying enough?  Just doesn't make sense to me.

Here's a big "kudos" to Kendall and everyone at LTL for the great work they did to give us so many fantastic Wacky prints!!

I had sent Topps some 600dpi and some 1200dpi scans of the OLDS1 stuff. Maybe they used those? They probably used 300dpi for most of the rest of the scans they sent.

Great post, I couldn't agree more - the prints are one of my favorite Wacky items, and Kendall and LTL had great customer service (and I wish they had done the postcards, especially H8!). I can't figure why Topps didn't give them more support.

I love my 2' Blunder Bread and 1' Demented, like my 1' Kook Aid, and was disappointed in my 2' Commie Cleanser as the lettering is poor. It was obviously taken from a scan of the original art where the press on letters have begun to come off. Of the 8" ones I got, I really like Shot Wheels and Ajerx and kinda wished I had larger ones, especially of Ajerx.

My office now has a warm Wacky look to it. The only title anyone can see as they walk by is a 2' Quacker Oats - once they step in, they often look around and kinda go "whoa" - as in "whoa, I didn't know you were nuts".

I hope we are able to get this type of wall cling printed again at some point in the future.

I agree. I hope LTL will bring them back in the future and I hope everyone on this forum got to have one of these.

I got 1' of Blunder Bread, Shrunken Donuts, Chock Full 'O Nuts & Bolts (all in the kitchen), Crust, Mustard Charge, Red & Blue Wrappers and 2' of Hopeless Fruit Fly and Chimpanzee Spark Plugs. Damn, didn't realize I got this many. They really are great, especially when someone walks into a room and points at one and laughs.  :]

I have three 2' Old School prints (Hi-Sea, Qreep, and Frankenbrainy), and the quality is incredible.  My 2' Dead & Buried is really sharp too - I suspect that Mark also provided a hi-res scan.

The added ability to customize the print size was really great for portrait orientation titles.  'Laptop' size for Blam-O seemed too small, like 6x8, so I got that as a 9x11.  The quality of the scans is apparent in that size as well, and the lines in that frisbee are fantastic!  I also got 11" sizes of Bacteria and and Project 19, and they're great.

I have a 2' Fruity Peppers, and while it looks nice, it doesn't seem nearly as sharp as the 2' Old School titles.  Same with my other 2' ANS titles, most of which I think are your work.  Did you provide Topps with hi-res scans of your ANS art, or would those likely be the 300dpi you mentioned?

Of all of them I bought, the 2' Blunder is my favorite - it's been up on my living room wall, right next to a 2' Ajerx, since these first debuted.  I have an 8" Kook Aid up, but didn't think the image quality warranted ordering a larger one.  But, the 11" Demented I just got is sweet!

I agree, the 8" Shot Wheels and Ajerx are nice.  The 8" Commie looked a little blurry, so I'm not surprised that the 2' size is disappointing.  I never did buy a Quacker Oats, don't know how I managed to forget that one last month.  That would have fit in well with either the 8" combo sets or the 11" titles I got.  Oh well, I was bound to miss something.  Perhaps we'll see LTL trades in the future.

Good question. Dont' think that they would be allowed, but not sure if you provided the image. Still, it wouldn't be as nice, unless you have suberb images. You can just see what was previously disgussed here in the past few posts about the end results image quality.

This was a Christmas present to myself - a 6 foot Gyppy Pop. I had to get at least one mammoth print while I still could. The resolution is incredible. All details are sharp for it's size. I'm so happy with it! I also bought a few more, but only at the "tiny" 2 foot size ;) Those are Frankenbrainy, Chock Full & Whatchemacrawlit.

Good question. Dont' think that they would be allowed, but not sure if you provided the image. Still, it wouldn't be as nice, unless you have suberb images. You can just see what was previously disgussed here in the past few posts about the end results image quality.

I don't think they can do any Topps images now that they don't have the license.  I'm wondering how this would affect titles that Topps rejected - perhaps those could be reproduced now.

Wow - that is incredible!  I decided to go with more, smaller titles, but looking at that giant Gyppy Pop kind of makes me wish I'd sprung for one humongous print.  Did you need help putting that up?

Funny, my 2' Blunder and Ajerx prints seemed so big when I put them up, and now that I'm used to them, they don't seem quite so big.  I wonder what a 6' Blunder would have looked like......

I did get a 1' Gyppy Pop in my final order, and it came out really nice, but yours just looks amazing!

Oh and thanks Brad for the heads up. I would have missed out on getting this otherwise. I am bummed that LTL will not be printing Wackys anymore, because they look awesome. The giant Gyppy is one of the coolest Wacky items I own. Hopefully down the road LTL will get Topps' license once again.

I put it up myself, which was quite a feat! I about had a heart attack when part of it folded back on itself - that backing is sticky stuff!

Anyone notice the "micro Gyppy" I put up next to it? :)

I have a hard enough time handling the 2'ers I can't imagine one this size. Wait til you want to move it and try and stick it back on the wax paper. That should be a fun time ;D

That must have been something to watch!  I think I remember Kendall saying that even if the prints folded onto themselves, they'd be OK once unstuck, but I can imagine the horrible feeling as it started folding.  And if you have to then lay it out on a flat surface to work on it, that could be a problem too.  I've been saving the papers from mine, and writing the title on the reverse, in case I ever want to move them around or store them.  If you ever try to get that Gyppy Pop back on the paper, I'll bet you have an interesting afternoon!

I did notice the little Gyppy - what size is that?  Compared to the big one, it looks like a sticker!

Good idea about writing the titles on the backing papers. I will do that for my 2 footers.
The little Gyppy is regular sticker size (it's actually a copy of a sticker because I didn't have an extra sticker handy). You can barely see it compared to the giant one.

Any one have a problem with LTL customer service? They sent me a wrong wall hanging with my order (duplicated 1 title and left out another) and I did not get the 15% discount.  I have contacted them at least 3 different ways and have not gotten a response. Any one else having a problem?

In my experience their customer service has always been great.  I had a problem with one recent order, and they mentioned that they were backed up the last week of the year due to holidays and promotions, but they helped me on the phone, and said they'd apply my discount, which hadn't gone through.  I won't know about that until my credit card bill comes, but I trust them.  Two prints that were the wrong size were promptly replaced, so I was very pleased with their service.

No problems here. I had the same situation with the 15 percent off because I couldn't find the box to enter the discount code. I went all the way through the checkout process and didn't find it. I immediately contacted customer service through their site and let them know. Heard nothing after a day, contacted again, then I was contacted by their customer service that the difference was refunded to my acct. Great, no problem.

I would keep trying thought their site and give them your order number too.

Thanks for the info. I tried through the site a few times but I'll try again and give them a call.  I have never had a problem with them in the past.

Where did you find Captian Moron's?????  I would have bought that one in a second!!  Probably both as 1' and 2' sizes.

That's a great staircase you've got there!  I still want more of these, too.  I bought an awful lot of them in December, but haven't had the chance to put many of them up yet.  If enough wind up in one area, I'll post a pic.

I have Wackys all over my bachelorette pad, not to mention spaceships and action figures.  A bonus feature of the LTL prints is they don't get dusty!

Captain Moron was specially made for me. It was a gift from my girlfriend with a little help from the artist, Smokin' Joe.

I know, it's really ashame to see them end. Glad I got a few 2 footers before 2010 was over. I still am amazed by how clear the image is dispite it being blown up to a large size compared to it's original state.

Just a thought, but didnt Mattel put a Wacky on a car roof? Saw the thread here. If they can do it, couldnt LTL do it if a high-res scan if it was supplied?  They just may still be available. I missed out on them  :'(

They lost their rights to Topps art, so no nothing Wacky's is available.

I  remember that post and the person who sent it in stated that "Mattel would put anything on a car" and the customer supplied the artwork.  (that is how I read into it)

LTL prints anything you send them. If you can get a hi res Wacky art scan they might print one for you. They just can't add it to their catalog.

The wii is cool I love mario!
